During 28 - 29 June 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Manila organized the Thai Festival Manila 2025 2025 at Legazpi Active Park in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), City Government of Makati, Makati Central Estate Association (MACEA), San Lorenzo Barangay, Ayala Land, alongside relevant Thai agencies and Thai businesses in the Philippines. The Thai Festival Manila 2025 was organized under the objective of showcasing Thai culture and recognition while also bridging even closer people-to-people ties between Thailand and the Philippines.

Her Excellency Mrs. Makawadee Sumitmor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Philippines presided over the opening ceremony and was joined by the Honorable Mel-Len Abigail S. Binay, then-Mayor of Makati, as guest of honor. Present at the ceremony were high-level representatives of the City of Makati, members of the diplomatic corps, Filipinos, and Thais. The Thai Festival Manila 2025 promoted Thailand’s soft power through (1) cultural heritage which included a demonstration of Thai traditional dances and Muay Thai from Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, fruit and vegetable carvings, and traditional Thai massages; (2) Thai food and beverages from 25 Thai vendors; and (3) Thail film screening of You & Me & Me with a special appearance for a fan meet and greet by actress Baipor (Thitiya Jirapornsilp), the breakout star of You & Me & Me. Throughout the two-day event, there were approximately 5,000 participants who participated in the festivities.

This year’s iteration of Thai Festival Manila 2025 concluded with great success and garnered a lot of attention from Filipinos and expats alike. The festival was organized under Thailand’s “5F cultural policy” which covered Festival, Food, Film, and Fighting. In 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in collaboration with partner agencies, is organizing Thai Festivals across 45 cities in 32 countries worldwide.
