


Thai lmmigration Bureau has introduced the use of Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) to facilitate travelers entering Thailand. All Non-Thai nationals entering the Kingdom of Thailand, regardless of their mode of transportation including land, sea and air, must complete a TDAC online.

Compliance will be mandated from May 1st, 2025 onward.

On 2 March 2022, Mr. Thawat Sumitmor, Chargé d’ Affaires ad interim, accompanied by Ms. Atipha Vadhanapong, First secretary and Mr. Witsarut Piyavongsomboon, Second secretary, handed over Royal Thai Government’s USD 65,000 donation to Mr. Nathaniel G. Imperial, Assistant Secretary, Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs - ASPAC, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and Ms. Susan E. Quiambao, Chief, Response and Operational Coordination Division, representative from National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), to assist the Philippines’ relief and rehabilitation efforts in areas that were affected by Typhoon Rai (Odette) in the mid-December 2021.
Chargé d’ Affaires extended his condolences and sympathy to the Government and people of the Republic of the Philippines especially those who live in Visayas and Mindanao. The donation reaffirms Thailand’s friendship and goodwill towards the Government and the people of the Republic of the Philippines, as well as her commitment to fostering the friendly relations between the two countries.

On 18 August 2022, His Excellency Mr. Tull Traisorat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Philippines presided over the Thai Select Awarding Ceremony for Greyhound Café Philippines at the SM Aura in Manila.
In congratulating Greyhound Café Philippines on receiving the Thai Select Classic Certification which guarantee the authentic Thai taste of Thai food products and Thai restaurants, Ambassador Traisorat noted that the success of the Greyhound Café Philippines is testament to the close economic cooperation between Thailand and the Philippines.
Recognizing that the Thai franchise in Manila is composed of highly trained Thai and Filipino chefs and staff, Ambassador Traisorat commended the business-to-business collaboration between Thailand’s Greyhound Café, the Philippines’ Viva Group and SM Aura for their contribution towards job creation, such collaboration between the Thai and Filipino businesses also attracts more customers to the SM Aura mall, contributing to the success of property developers and further property development.
Further, Ambassador Traisorat was pleased to learn that the dishes offered by the restaurant would provide people with the opportunity to experience authentic Thai cuisine, which has great health benefits. Such experience will also allow Thais and Filipinos to connect through the enjoyment and appreciation of Thai food, which will foster cultural exchanges, as well as people-to-people connectivity.
With a view to marking in 2024 the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Philippines, Ambassador Traisorat reiterated the objective of taking the Thailand-Philippines relations to the next level, including through business-to-business collaboration, to ensure economic prosperity and an even closer friendship between the Thai and Filipino peoples.
