On 20 October 2016 at 17.00 hours., H.E. Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Philippines, presided over a candlelight ceremony and led a 9 minute silence in respect and remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the Kingdom of Thailand. Since 14 October 2016, more than 400 people, including representatives from the Philippine Government, Diplomatic and Consular Corps, and International Organisations, universities, as well as the Thai and Philippine nationals have signed the Book of Condolences.

On 11 August 2016 at 15.00 hrs. at the Thai Residence, His Excellency Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Philippines led the Embassy’s officials and spouses as well as members of Team Thailand in the Philippines to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty‘s 7^th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 12 August 2016.

On 12 August 2016, His Excellency Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Philippines and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy graced the Tree Planting Activity to Commemorate Her Majesty Queen Sirikitof Thailand’s 7^th CycleBirthday Anniversary organized by PTT Philippines at Marikina Watershed Reservation, Sitio Yasiro, BarangaySan Jose, Antipolo City, RizalProvince. More than 600 participants attended the said event including Dr. J.R. Nereus O. Acosta, General Manager of Laguna Lake Development Authority and former  Philippine’s Presidential Adviser for Environmental Protection and Miss Imelda Schweighart, Miss Earth Philippines 2016.
