EGCO Group Participation in Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) Relief Operation
On 13 November 2013, Mr. Sahust Pratuknukul, President of the Electricity Generating Public Company Limited donated 300,000 baht to the victims of typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) through the special television program “Thai Support to help the Philippines” organized by the Royal Thai Government, broadcasted on the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT).
On 14 November 2013, Quezon Power (Philippines) Limited Co. (QPL), the Coal-Fired Power Plant in Quezon province donated 7,000 USD to Mr. Jun Salipsip, the Foundation’s Executive Director of AmCham Foundation and
the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
On 16 November 2013, Mr. Frank Thiel, QPL Managing Director, provided 1,400 bags of assorted food items to assist victims of typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). The QPL employees also raised 100,000 pesos to purchase necessary items to assist the victims of the typhoon.

On 5 December 2013, H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines, hosted a reception in the auspicious occasion of the 86th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the Kingdom of Thailand at the Grand Ballroom, Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City. The event was attended by over 300 distinguished guests including Honorable Jesus I. Yabes, Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs as Acting Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, H.E. Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corporation donated 4,000 bags of relief goods for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (22 November 2013)
On 22 November 2013, Mr. Thanis Na Songkhla, Royal Thai Embassy, witnessed the donation ceremony of relief goods for the victims by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Mr. Pinij Kungvankij, Vice Chairman (Aqua Business), Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines presented the 4,000 relief goods, in amount to 1,500,000 pesos to Mr. Asis Perez, Director, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
Financial assistance from the Royal Thai Government to the Philippines for the Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) relief and recovery efforts
On 4 December 2013, H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines, presented a donation of 200,000.00 US dollars from the Royal Thai Government to H.E. Albert F. del Rosario, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, for the Typhoon Yolanda relief and recovery efforts in the affected areas.
Charoen Pokphand Group donated Bt 20 million for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (13 November 2013)
On 13 November 2013, Mr. Pakkhapon Ngamlak, Senior Executive Vice President of Charoen Pokphand Group presented to H.E. Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand a donation of 20 million Baht for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda, which was given to H.E. Jocelyn Batoon Garcia, Ambassador of the Philippines to Thailand.
