Handover Ceremony of Donation for Typhoon Rai (Odette) Rehabilitation Assistance
On 2 March 2022, Mr. Thawat Sumitmor, Chargé d’ Affaires ad interim, accompanied by Ms. Atipha Vadhanapong, First secretary and Mr. Witsarut Piyavongsomboon, Second secretary, handed over Royal Thai Government’s USD 65,000 donation to Mr. Nathaniel G. Imperial, Assistant Secretary, Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs - ASPAC, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and Ms. Susan E. Quiambao, Chief, Response and Operational Coordination Division, representative from National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), to assist the Philippines’ relief and rehabilitation efforts in areas that were affected by Typhoon Rai (Odette) in the mid-December 2021.
Chargé d’ Affaires extended his condolences and sympathy to the Government and people of the Republic of the Philippines especially those who live in Visayas and Mindanao. The donation reaffirms Thailand’s friendship and goodwill towards the Government and the people of the Republic of the Philippines, as well as her commitment to fostering the friendly relations between the two countries.

เนื่องในวันปิยมหาราช 23 ตุลาคม 2568 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมะนิลา ได้จัดพิธีน้อมรำลึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณ พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว โดยนางมาฆวดี สุมิตรเหมาะ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้วางพวงมาลาเบื้องหน้าพระบรมฉายาลักษณ์พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว และกล่าวน้อมรำลึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณฯ ในนามข้าราชการและประชาชนชาวไทยที่พำนักในสาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์และสาธารณรัฐปาเลา จากนั้น เอกอัครราชทูตฯ และผู้เข้าร่วมพิธีฯ ได้ยืนสงบนิ่งเป็นเวลา 57 วินาที เพื่อน้อมรำลึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว โดยมีข้าราชการสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ทีมประเทศไทย พร้อมคู่สมรส เข้าร่วม
On the occasion of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day on 23 October 2025, Her Excellency Mrs. Makawadee Sumitmor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Philippines along with Embassy officials and members of Team Thailand held a commemorative ceremony in remembrance of the passing of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn (King Rama V) at the Ambassador’s Residence. The ceremony included a wreath-laying ceremony followed by 57 seconds of silence in remembrance of His Majesty’s enduring legacy.

เมื่อวันที่ 31 กรกฎาคม 2568 นางมาฆวดี สุมิตรเหมาะ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมะนิลา พร้อมด้วยทีมประเทศไทย ได้เข้าพบผู้บริหาร Clark Development Corporation (CDC) โดยมี Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera ประธานและเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร CDC ให้การต้อนรับ โดยได้เยี่ยมชมและรับฟังการบรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนา Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone (CFEZ) รวมทั้งได้สำรวจพื้นที่ท่าอากาศยาน Clark International Airport ณ จังหวัด Pampanga โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อแสวงหาลู่ทางในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับฟิลิปปินส์ในด้านการค้า การลงทุน และการท่องเที่ยวที่จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อทั้งสองประเทศ โดยฟิลิปปินส์มีความประสงค์ที่จะส่งเสริมและพัฒนาพื้นที่ CFEZ ให้เป็นเป้าหมายในการลงทุน การท่องเที่ยว การกีฬา และสถานที่จัดกิจกรรม MICE ระดับโลก
On 31 July 2025, Her Excellency Mrs. Makawadee Sumitmor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Philippines along with members of Team Thailand in the Philippines met with executives of Clark Development Corporation (CDC). Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, President and CEO of CDC received the Ambassador and her delegation. This was followed by a briefing on the development of Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone (CFEZ) and a site visit to Clark International Airport in Pampanga. The purpose of this visit was to seek new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation between Thailand and the Philippines in trade, investment, and toursim. The Philippines have promoted and developed CFEZ to become a global destination for investment, tourism, sports, and MICE events.
