On 28 August 2015, the Thai Prime Minister and his spouse joined the official programmes, namely the Wreath-laying Ceremony at Rizal Monument and the Welcoming Ceremony at the Malacañan Palace. Afterward, the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic of the Philippines had a bilateral meeting. The talks focused on improve bilateral relations by building a partnership for prosperity and strengthening the ASEAN Community. The Prime Minister also used this opportunity to express his condolences regarding a Filipina who was injured during an explosion at the Brahma shrine, Ratchaprasong intersection on 17 August 2015. The Thai authorities have provided remedies and assistance to those affected by the incident. After discussions, President Aquino hosted a State Luncheon in honor of the Prime Minister and his spouse.


On A27-28 August 2015, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand and Associate Professor Naraporn Chan–o-cha paid an official visit to the Republic of the Philippines. In the evening of 27 August 2015, the Prime Minister and his spouse attended a dinner hosted by H.E. Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines and Mrs. Monthip Upatising. Officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, CEOs of the Thai private companies were also invited to the dinner.



On 20 July 2015, Mrs. Kanokkittika Kritwutikon, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (Singapore Office), organized “the Amazing Thailand Road Show 2015” at Dusit Thani Hotel, Manila and invited His Excellency Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines, to deliver a welcome remarks. The Amazing Thailand Road Show 2015 aimed to promote Thailand’s tourism industry, was attended by Mr. Sern Chupikulchai, General Manager of Thai Ariways International (Philippines Office) and representatives from the tourism industry, entrepreneurs and tourism-related sectors, including airline representatives and hotel businesses from both Thailand and the Philippines.


On 20 July 2015, His Excellency Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines, attended the SCG Sharing the Dream Scholarship Turnover Ceremony for the School Year 2015-2016 at Asian Center Auditorium, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.
SCG Sharing the Dream is part of SCG’s CSR projects, in partnership with Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP). This 8th year project has granted scholarships to high school students, near the areas of SCG’s operations, that have financial constraints but excellent academic performances. This year, the scholarships were awarded to 65 scholars from Batangas, 70 scholars from Bulacan and 65 scholars from Taquiq City, or a total of 200 scholars.



On 16 June 2015, H.E. Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, attended the Turn-Over Ceremony to hand over the Royal Thai Government’s 500 tons of rice to Mr. Rodolfo Santos, Assistant Secretary for General Administration and Support Services Group, Department of Social Welfare and Development of the Philippines, as a representative of the Philippine Government, to assist the Philippines’ rehabilitation efforts in areas that were affected by Typhoon Hagupit (Ruby) last December.
