On 4 April 2013, H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Philippines, presided over the opening ceremony of "The 5th Thailand Trade Show 2013" organized by the Thai Trade Center, Royal Thai Embassy in cooperation with the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce of Thailand at SMX Convention Center. H.E. Malayvieng Sakonhninhom, Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and H.E. Tout Panha, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia also graced the event.
During the event, there was a raffle draw for diners in Thai restaurants that participated in the Songkran Promotion Month (People's Palace, Benjarong, 8 spices, Simply Thai, Mango Tree, and Azuthai) between 6 March – 2 April 2013. The winner was awarded round trip air plane ticket, accommodation, and travel package sponsored by Thai Airways International and Tourism Authority of Thailand to experience the Songkran Festival in Bangkok.
On 21 March 2013, H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines, hosted a dinner in honour of Hon. Jose de Venecia, Jr. and family. Hon. Victor Ortega and family, Mr. Ramon Ang, President of San Miguel, as well as members of Team Thailand also participated in the event.
H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai spoke during the Forum on Aquaculture session by Charoen Pokphand (CP) Foods Philippines. The Forum was hosted by the Management Association of the Philippines on 7 March 2013 at the Metropolitan Club. Also in the picture are Mr. Ramon Ilusorio, Honorary Consul of Finland (seated) and Mr. Arnnop Jeanprasert, Senior Vice President for Agro-Industry of CP Philippines.
Dr. Pinij Kungvankij, Vice Chairman of Charoen Pokphand operations in the Philippines presented his presentation of the CPF’s profile and the Aquaculture business in the Philippines. The forum was attended by 50 prominent Philippine businessmen.
On 8 March 2013, H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines, visited Quezon Power Plant in Mauban Town, Quezon Province which Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO), a private company under Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand is currently holding majority of 98 percent share.
Quezon Power Plant is a coal power station with the production capacity of 500 megawatt. It produces electricity and sale to Meralco. It has been receiving over 20 rewards about environment and corporate social responsibility. In 2012, it received 2012 Special Citation, Excellence in Ecology and Economy from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
On 6 March 2013, H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines, gave a briefing on politics and political system of the Philippines and hosted a dinner in honour of the Committee on Interior Administration of Senate of Thailand headed by Mr. Mongkol Srikhamhaeng, on the occasion of the latter’s study visit to the Philippines.
